Present a Present

This work was first staged in Singapore as an installation for the performance ‘AFAR’ presented by Drama Box in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay as part of The Studios series at Esplanade Studio in August 2012. With the consent from Drama Box and Esplanade, this installation was granted permission for further development.

A series of arts experiential sessions was thus developed and the process was conducted between May to August 2013, with the older adults in our community and concluded its run in United Kingdom in September 2013 at four different communities.

This work was presented at British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) Conference and University of London, Royal Central School of Speech & Drama’s MA Drama & Movement Therapy Department, a care home and a primary school.

This installation was commissioned by Singapore’s National Arts Council and supported by Nanyang Polytechnic.
